Welcome to Friday, my fine working class chums… the weekend is nearly upon us, though being the professional hooligans your friends at skinbyrd.com are, we started last night with a fine evening of drinking, dancing, fighting and shag’n byrds… but as I was saying, the weekend is upon us, and we hope you have a fine one.. to help with that we’d like to offer up a little American Oi, to provide a soundtrack to your carousing…

Now, most people, these days, know Mr Al Barr from his radio friendly, and frankly, almost, wimpier than than the Vanilla Muffins, and seemingly Boston Red Sox sponsored band The Dropkick Murphys–but once upon a time he fronted the Boston skinhead powerhouse that was The Bruisers! Formed in 1988, they unleashed a furious debut single entitled Intimidation that set Skinbryds hearts aflutter and the boys on the docks to put their boots on their feet and do some of that old moonstomping… or at least brought them about to start up a good barfight or two!! Presented here, as your soundtrack to watching FC Barcelona kick the crap out of Atletico Bilbao, smashing windows, and caressing the freshly shaven head of your favorite byrd this weekend, is the complete Intimidation session–originally released as the Intimidation EP on skinhead of note Jack ‘Choke’ Kelly’s Patriot Records circa 1989 and then as the Clobberin’ Time EP in 1995 courtesy the French label Bird Records… Raw and primal, it really doesn’t get much better than this from the good old USA!!
